Tell us, and tell us straight away. Write to us at the address above with the word "urgent" in the subject, or use Report on the person's profile in the app, which reaches the same people.

A report is read by a person here, not a machine. We can stop an introduction, remove somebody from the service, and give you back the conversation as evidence if you need it.

You never have to explain yourself to the other person, and they are never told you reported them.

We do not use passwords. Signing in sends a one-time code to your phone number or email address, and the commonest reason it does not arrive is that the number on your account is not the one in your hand.

Write to us from any address and tell us your name. We will find the account and fix the number ourselves.

You can pause at any time from Settings in the app, which stops new introductions without losing anything you have filled in.

You can also delete your account outright, in the app under Settings, or at intothecircle.org/delete-account. That removes your profile, your answers, your photographs and your messages.

Neither costs you a conversation with anybody. You do not have to tell us why.

Every report goes onto the list the team works through, and somebody replies to you when it is fixed rather than when it is filed.

Ask. The short answer is that a person decides: the app compares what you and somebody else have said, ranks the result, and a matchmaker chooses whether to send it. Nothing is introduced to you automatically.
